Mac vs PC – PC Choice Chat

PC has started a radio program called, "PC Choice Chat" and is at a table listening to calls. PC keeps ignoring them, and Mac asks questions, which PC does not reply. PC repeatedly uses funny sound effects to cut off the customers' calls.

This ad is trying to paint PC, or Microsoft in general, as “Un-listening” and an “Ignorer” of it’s people’s needs.

Mac is seen again with Apple Genius, a real life person available to help you with your Mac problems. PC then has a short montage of endless automated customer support automated message, never reaching a real person.

Mac is trying to show all PC support as hard, misdirected and possibly non-English speaking.

Mac vs PC – Elimination

PC attempts to find Megan, a new laptop hunter, the perfect PC. Unfortunately, no PCs are immune to viruses which is Megan's #1 concern.

Notably Mac says “Hi, I’m a Mac” and Megan responds “Hi, I’m a Megan”.  Apple is trying to tell you that you can still be you with a Mac, while you’ll just be another clone by being a PC.

This ad is a direct response to Microsoft’s Laptop Hunter, You Find it You Keep it campaign.

Do you remember Lauren?

Lauren is the cute red head from the first “You Find it You Keep it” ad.  Alot of you have been asking for more info about Lauren. 

Lauren’s full name is Lauren De Long.  She is an very unknown actress who has been in a few movies and commercials.

You could see why Microsoft would love this 5’2” 108 pound all American cutie.

Some Mac lovers out there however don’t feel the same about Lauren.  Ever since she uttered “I’m just not cool enough to be a Mac person”, droves of Mac Fanboys launched a gigantic “flamewar” online.

Sheila needs a fast laptop with big screen for editing movies.

This is Sheila, she told us she wanted a laptop with "fast processor, big screen and I really need something that's going to cut video" for under $2,000. We told her, you find it, you keep it.
